Survivin Pathway Inhibitor
Diagram of Survivin Pathway

The Survivin protein is part of an important and intractable cancer pathway. It is recognized as a critical but elusive target for cancer therapeutics, because of its lack of enzymatic function. The pathway is critical for cancer cell functions including cell death, cell growth, and drug and radiation resistance. The Survivin protein is over-expressed in multiple tumor types including breast, lung, prostate, pancreatic and colon. Additionally, Survivin, while broadly expressed in most tumor types, is undetectable in most normal adult cells. We are currently in the compound selection phase.
